Wi-Fi Coverage
When it comes to researching different options to establish or strengthen Wi-Fi while camping or travelling, I have learned how complicated this retail space is to understand! I struggled understanding what options were available (and affordable) and finally went with a hotspot option provided by my cell service provider.
- Global Wi-Fi – requires a portable router and a SIM card available through various providers and can be purchased as prepaid data cards
- Ultra Mobile – $49/Mo Unlimited Data 4G Internet
- Mobile Hot Spots – create a mobile hotspot using your smartphone or purchasing an external unit sold by your cellphone service provider
- Sprint Mifi
- Verizon Jetpack
- Hotpot Locator Apps – jump onto an existing hotspot near you by using one of these apps to locate and connect
- WiFiMapper
- Avast Wi-Fi Finder
- Satellite Internet – requires a satellite and monthly subscription
- FMCA RV Wi-Fi comes with a free Sprint or Verizon hotspot with a 2yr contract, and $49/mo for Wi-Fi service. Requires a FMCA RV Club Membership which costs $85/yr.
