Tahoe lived up the the hype and did not disappoint. Pure majestic beauty at its finest. I will never forget my first view of Lake Tahoe as we were coming over the mountain range from Reno, NV. The gorgeous beauty sits on the border of California and Nevada.

East Tahoe vs South Tahoe
Tahoe is on the border of California and Nevada, and is one of the most beautiful lakes in the United States. The two most photogenic views of the lake are Sand Harbor in East Tahoe and Emerald Bay in South Tahoe.
Sand Harbor State Park (East Tahoe, Nevada)
Sand Harbor was hands down my absolute favorite view of Lake Tahoe found near Incline Village, East Tahoe, Nevada.
Emerald Bay and Eagle Falls (South Tahoe, California)
Emerald Bay in South Tahoe, California offers a royal blue portrait that takes your breath away. Be warned, the road to travel to see this view is a narrow 2 lane road with NO median. Driving a 25ft RV across the road was one of the most nerve wrecking points of the trip, and I was white knuckle clinched to the wheel, praying not to see a vehicle my size approaching as I crossed the narrow land bridge. However the view of Emerald Bay on the other side was breathtaking and worth every inch.

Accommodations
We stayed four nights at Tahoe Valley Campground with Thousand Trails, in South Tahoe, CA. This campground was clean and quiet with a level and shaded campsites. They took precaution to COVID-19 safety regulations for residents.
Camping without wine is just sitting in the woods 
We stayed at site #101, a level pull through site with full hookup cost $71/night with tax. This site near the entrance, main office, outdoor pavilion, laundry/restrooms, and trash.
Arrival time is 12pm and checkout is 11am. Quiet Hours are 10pm to 8am.
When we arrived, part of the checking in process included a story about a local bear named ‘Cinnamon’ who frequents the park. We were assured that she was not aggressive, however very intelligent and able to open unlocked camper doors and unlock the dumpster in search for food.
