St Louis MO to Denver CO | Day 2 | West Coast RV Road Trip
Scenic Views
I have heard that Kansas is a boring drive and nothing but corn fields, but I was blown away but the beauty of East Kansas. Rolling green hills and farmland, beautiful red barns against a green pasture with black cows grazing. The road trip from St Louis to Denver was very peaceful and relaxing to gaze out in to the distance and you could see for miles around.
On the other hand, the “west side” of Kansas held true to its reputation…boring. However they do say, that beauty is held in the eye of the beholder. And if you know that to be true, than you can see the beautiful masterpiece that each landscape brings; all unique and beautiful in their own amazing ways. The drive from St Louis to Denver was around 12 hours, and ended with miles of corn fields and wind mills.
I enjoyed seeing the windmills and was blown away by how they big they are once you get up close! Just once blade is the length of a tracker trailer!
Arriving in Denver felt like coming home again. My sister and her husband and kiddos live in Littleton which is at the base of the foothills in Denver. I always try to visit my nephews twice a year, but since COVID appeared I have not been wanting to fly. It was SO nice to not only be able to see and hug my nephews again, but to introduce them to the best travel dog ever – my Brody Bear!!

For this night in Denver I stayed with family, but there are so many amazing options in Denver and in surrounding suburbs. My favorite source for booking hotel rooms is Expedia.
